In February 2026, Pride Community Foundation announced a new partnership with bobu that will give all Pride City Angels members access to bobuEssentials training.
The partnership builds on a shared commitment to safety, care and visible inclusion within everyday community spaces. Pride City Angels venues already pledge to welcome LGBTQ+ people creating a welcoming, inclusive, and safer city for everyone. This collaboration strengthens that promise with clear, practical support for staff teams.
bobuEssentials is a core safety training programme designed for real-life situations. It helps staff recognise risk early, respond with confidence, and support people when situations feel uncomfortable or unsafe. The training is suited to hospitality, retail and other public-facing environments.
Through the partnership, Pride City Angels members will receive access to bobuEssentials training, certification and supporting resources. This allows venues to turn values into everyday practice.
“Pride City Angels is about more than a sticker in a window,” said Leslie Clarke, CEO of Pride Community Foundation. “It is about trust. Working with bobu helps our members build that trust through shared skills, confidence and care.”
Nicholas Cousin, co-founder of bobu, said, “Safety works best when it is visible, practical, and shared. Partnering with Pride Community Foundation means that bobu and bobuEssentials can support teams who already have a deep care and commitment to their communities and want to show that in action. ”
Together, Pride Community Foundation and bobu are strengthening the Pride City Angels network with training that supports staff, customers and the wider community.
