Scene Magazine's first year back in print

Here at Pride Community Foundation (PCF), we are extremely proud to be the publishers of Scene Magazine. Last year, we took on a publication that has long transcended the boundaries of Brighton & Hove, serving LGBTQ+ communities across the UK and beyond.

Scene has been around since 1993, fitting PCF’s mission of empowering the voices of LGBTQ+ people.

Breaking down barriers is key to empowering voices, and one such barrier was Scene's decision to stop printing years ago.

We reversed that decision and have just celebrated the launch of the third issue this year, following our return to print earlier in the year. The new print edition of Scene Magazine complements our online content, helping us to reach all demographics and meet the preferences of our diverse readership.

This autumn issue is dedicated to bodies, as we explore different perspectives on ageing, sex, disabilities and body types that dominate Grindr, among other topics, across 52 fabulous pages.

We celebrated the launch of this special issue with a party at Ironworks earlier in October. We were kindly hosted by Queer Edge, who made the evening possible.

Scene Magazine is one of the few community-led, non-profit publications, and we are proud to provide independent journalism that keeps our communities up to date, inspires conversations, and holds those in power to account.

If you would like to support our work, please consider making a donation to PCF, buying a magazine, or becoming a Scene+ member.
