The Pride Community Foundation CIC is a Brighton-based LGBTQ+ organisation dedicated to supporting the infrastructure of LGBTQ+ communities through grantmaking, uniting, and advocating for equity. As part of the Brighton & Hove Pride family, we fund community-led initiatives, manage impactful projects, and work to ensure that resources are distributed transparently and in line with the needs of our diverse communities. Our work is guided by values of inclusivity, collaboration, and accountability.
Role Purpose:
To provide independent judgment, constructive challenge, and specialist expertise to guide the Foundation’s strategic direction.
Key Responsibilities:
• Participate actively in board meetings and strategic discussions.
• Bring independent judgment on issues of strategy, risk, and performance.
• Support and challenge executive management in achieving the Foundation’s goals.
Skills and Attributes:
• Expertise in relevant areas (e.g., charity governance, finance, grant-making, community engagement).
• Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
